Jane Geraghty is our Global CEO and over the years I’ve had the opportunity to work closely with her. As a woman leader, she is super inspiring to me in many ways and I admire her intellect, ambition, passion and energy. She has a bold vision on which she fearlessly executes with relentless drive.

In one of my meetings with Jane, I learnt the absolute importance of results-orientation from her. It actually does not matter how busy you were or how much you tried but only what the end result was.

This definitely rings true as a broader message in our over-scheduled lives. We look at our diaries and see back-to-back meetings from morning to late evening, sometimes without any breaks at all. It’s easy to mistake all this busyness and activity as a sign of success or progress but what really matters is concrete achievements whether that is in terms of new products developed, new clients acquired, awards won, more growth and profit delivered or whatever your relevant metric might be.

Such a powerful reminder to focus on a few big hits that will create an impact and not be busy with the whole long tail!
