When I returned to India after my undergrad in America, my heart was set on a career in investment banking or management consulting as I had majored in Economics with a concentration in Applied Maths. A chance meeting with Sumit Roy, a legend in the advertising world, changed the trajectory of my career. He asked me this most pertinent question and triggered a reflection process and a reassessment of my career choices. He also introduced me to the world of brand consulting for which I will always be grateful because it is where I found my passion and my purpose.
